A wonderfull glass Ammonite pendant is the focal piece of this necklace. We love going to gem and mineral shows. The beautiful mineral crystals and skilled artisans are truly inspirational. Of course, the danger is to keep a firm grip on your wallet by setting budget ahead of time. On our last trip to the East Coast Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show in West Springfield, MA, we came across the work of Jeremy Sinkus. Jeremy’s company, Artisan Made Gemstones, showcases his lovely work with borosilicate glass. His work with this material has allowed him to fashion simulated gemstones of extraordinary beauty. The tourmalines and tourmaline slices (tourmaline is a borosilicate mineral) are real treats to behold. We purchased one of his ammonite creations to compliment our kumihimo collection. The colors of the cotton fibers pick up the lovely shades in the pendant and add just a hint of gold. The necklace is 26” long and has a toggle clasp.
